WMU
What is WMU?
WMU=Women’s Missionary Union
Founded in 1888, WMU is a missions organization that has educated and involved generations upon generations in Christian missions. Their purpose—to challenge Christian believers to understand and be radically involved in the mission of God—is accomplished through their age-level missions organizations, hands-on missions opportunities, and additional resources produced by WMU.
The main purpose of WMU is to educate and involve preschoolers, children, students, and adults in the cause of Christian missions. WMU supports the following organizations through age-appropriate magazines and/or products.

WMU also is responsible for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.
How does WMU and MSBW connect?
MSBW includes WMU, though it is not all that we do. We have a business meeting every year at Mpower to conduct the business of WMU and elect a president and Vice-president. This president serves on the national WMU board and attends meetings twice a year to be involved in the training and business of national WMU.
Does WMU just exist at the state and national level?
No. You can start a WMU group in your church, and we can help! Just use the contact form on this website to let us know you are interested and someone will be in touch.
