Jeff & Melva Clark

I (Jeff) was born and raised on a farm in southern, middle Tennessee. I graduated Carson Newman College, TN with a BA in Religion. I graduated twice from Southern Seminary, KY with a Masters of Divinity in Christian Education and with a Doctorate of Ministry in Missions Leadership.
Melva was born and raised in Independence, Mississippi, about 30 miles south of Memphis Tennessee. She graduated with a BS in Education from Blue Mountain College, MS. She also graduated from Southern Seminary, KY with a Master of Divinity in Christian Education.
We met in New Orleans, LA, while doing semester and summer missions for the North American Mission Board. Since then, we have served as church planters in Michigan, Florida, and Tennessee.
I served as the State Church Planting Director and State Evangelism Director for the West Virginia Convention of Southern Baptists from 1996-2001, and Melva served as a Youth Director for Good Shepherd Baptist Church, WV.
Before moving to East Asia, I served as the State Executive Director for the Montana Southern Baptist Convention for 6 years.
For the last 10 years, we have served in East Asia, first as strategy coordinators for a city and then as the research associates for the East Asia Peoples Affinity Group.
We have two children: Rachel, who is serving as a kindergarten teacher in Louisville, KY, and Hannah, who is a student at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.
